A hands-on fish and meat processing workshop, organized by experts of “FoodArt” project, will take place on February 8, 2012, at Tartu Vocational Center kitchen. The workshop will bring together professionals from Estonia and Latvia that are producing and processing fish and meat products.

Experts from Estonia and Latvia will meet in Pärnu on January 31 and February 1, 2012, to discuss joint plan for Gauja / Koiva river basin district management. Gauja / Koiva project implementers believe that it is important to harmonize approaches for typology of water bodies and classification of water quality status in rivers, lakes and coastal waters between Estonia and Latvia.

Students from Lähte, Estonia, will visit Madona, Latvia, this week to participate in workshops and lectures about media literacy and video production. 15 students from Estonia together with 30 students from Latvia will jointly produce short videos for young people about different winter sports activities.

Estonia – Latvia programme supported project FoodArt is starting the series of cooking workshops and the first one, taking place in Tartu, Estonia, on January 23 and 24, will be devoted to baked goods.

People from the border areas of Estonia and Latvia are invited to attend an open seminar about ecosystems, habitats and species in the border area that will take place on January 25 at 10:00 in Veclaicene, Latvia. It is organized by the Estonia – Latvia Programme supported project Green Corridor.
