On May 17, 2012, Tartu Science Park opens its brand new Demo Centre - a hub for mobile and location based sevices developers. Similar centres are already operating in Riga and Ventspils. The establishment of these centres is part-funded by Estonia – Latvia Programme through ICT DCNet project.

On May 12, 2012, annual Baltic Robotics competition „Baltic Robot Sumo”will take place in Rīga, Latvia. Robot deminstrations, workshops, exhibits, quizzes, atractions, and of course, the competition itself will be a part of the exhibit in Ķīpsala Exhibition centre.
