17-09-2012 Past, present and future of Estonia - Latvia cooperation to be discussed at Võru conference

“Joint Experiences – New Challenges” is the title given to the international conference on territorial cooperation that will take place in Võru, Estonia, on September 18 and 19, 2012. The conference will discuss past, present and future of Estonia – Latvia Programme and also Estonia – Latvia – Russia Programme.

The conference is organized by Estonia – Latvia Programme in cooperation with Estonia – Latvia – Russia Programme, Põlva, Valga and Võru local governments. It will focus on the impact analysis of territorial cooperation programmes in the region and discuss the current stage and the future of territorial cooperation in the area.

National and local level decision makers and project implementation professionals from Estonia, Latvia and Russia are invited to participate. Several guests from European Union institutions and other European countries have also confirmed their participation.

The conference will be a part of European Cooperation Day 2012 events that will take place September 17 – 23 across Europe. It will also feature a tour of several projects in the area, premieres of video stories of Estonia - Latvia Programme project impact as well as a small exhibit of project materials.
