How eager are Latvians and Estonians to cooperate? What are their feelings about participation in our Programme or other ETC and EU programmes?

Answers to these and other questions you can find in the summary report of a  comprehensive feedback survey that our programme carried out during the last summer and autumn.

The survey assessed 1) the general awareness about the Estonia - Latvia Programme, other ETC programmes and EU programmes in general, 2) interest of EE and LV organizations and business companies in cross-border cooperation and 3) obstacles for participation in our programme and other EU programmes.

Altogether 500 Latvian and Estonian organizations from different sectors participated in the survey. Though the survey was primarily aimed at the potential beneficiaries of our programme, it involved a much broader sample of organizations due to the fact that potential applicants can come from wide variety of fields and there are no statistic classifications to track specifically those interested in cross-border cooperation.

The survey revealed some interesting differences between the organizations in Latvia and Estonia, as well as between different sectors. It also showed us what kinds of obstacles the potential applicants face and how these problems tend to group.
