Seminar „Business in Estonia – a possibility for everyone” will take place on May 17, 2013 at Hotel Wolmar in Valmiera, Latvia. The aim of the seminar is to promote cooperation among businesses of both neighboring countries through assisting small and medium size enterprises to recognize opportunities abroad and expand their business.

A new guide, inviting to take a trip to the Baltic Botanic Gardens to see, to smell, to touch and hear the green part of our world tour, has been published by Estonia – Latvia Programme part-funded “Smart Gardens” project.

The joint Estonian-Latvian project Radio Classics, aimed at highlighting the young musical talents of Estonia and Latvia and introducing them to the radio audiences of both countries, has come to an end. In the course of one year, Estonia’s Klassikaraadio and Latvia’s Radio 3 Klasika reported regularly on the music events in both countries and co-organized two major concerts of the 2013 Music Schools Festival in which over 200 pupils from Estonia and Latvia took part.

Traveling photo exhibition of white-tailed eagles and osprey will open in Valga Kultuuri ja Huvialakeskus, Kesk tn. 1 on May 2, 2013. It will be the last stop of this exhibit that has been traveling around Estonia and Latvia since 2011.

On April 5, 2013, the longest hobby slot car track in Latvia was opened in Limbaži County High School. This track, a part of Estonia – Latvia Programme co-funded Hobby Slot Car Racing project, is similar to the one opened last August in Sindi, Estonia.

Põlvamaa Development Center will participate in Maamess fair with a FoodArt project stand, representing small food manufacturers of Southern Estonia and Northern Latvia. These food manufacturers cooperated in a project co-funded by Estonia – Latvia Programme, during which they learned to offer their produce to gourmet restaurants in nearby cities.

Organic potato growers from Estonia and Latvia will meet one more time for a seminar on organic potato growing on April 11, 2013 in Nakatu Turismitalu in Taheva county in Southern Estonia. This will be the last in series of seminars for farmers interested in organic potato growing.

This month Latvian Radio’s Classical music channel will offer to listeners the last broadcast of the project on young Latvian musicians, and reports on music events in Estonia made by Estonian colleagues in the framework of cooperation project of Radio 3 – Classics and Klassikaraadio “Youth Involvement in Professional Classical Music”.

At the end of March 2013 more than 7000 entries have already been compiled for the new Estonian – Latvian dictionary, which will consist of 40 000 entries and be available in print and electronic formats. The development of the dictionary is supported by Estonia – Latvia Programme and it is expected that it will be ready by April 30, 2015.

Estonia – Latvia Programme part-funded (D)rain for Life project is organizing a seminar on sustainable rain water management solutions for local government communal services, water systems project companies, territorial planners, landscape ahitects and other professionals. The seminar will take place on March 28, 2013 in Baldone, Latvia.
