23-04-2012 How to sell arts and crafts online?

Estonian and Latvian artists from Tartu and Cēsis will receive an answer to that on April 28 during the seminar on how to sell self-made arts and crafts items on international portal etsy.com. It is organized by Artists for Development project, part-financed by the Estonia – Latvia Programme.

During this seminar Latvian designer Inese Liepiņa, who has been successfully selling her knitwear on this portal, will share her experience and tips with other artists and craftspeople. Among other things, the designer will share her experience on how to find markets for your works, how to cooperate with other sellers from the region as well as how to calculate the most appropriate price for the product.

www.etsy.com is a global internet portal for artists and craftspeople, who want to sell their work online. The only conditions for using the portal are: the product has to be self-made (or vintage) as long as it can be mailed.

The seminar is free of charge for interested artists and craftspeople. For more information, please, contact Elīna Kalniņa at elina.cesis@gmail.com by April 24.
