You can definitely find them on local classifieds portal for the border regions of Setomaa in Estonia and Ape in Latvia. This cross-border classifieds portal on the internet www.setoape.eu, where locally grown and produced products can be advertised and sold, is up and running since December 2011.  

The portal has the following sections: food products, services and other products.  At the moment among the things offered by various sellers are honey, meat products, cabbage, brick, plants and California red worms. If you need assistance with something, there is a place to find help from your neighbors or, if you are talented in something, you can advertise your services there as well.

The site is a part of Estonia – Latvia Programme funded project Buy Local that was completed at the end of the last year. The project aimed to improve production and sales of goods and services of local farmers and entrepreneurs.

P.S. According to www.setoape.eu portal, California red worms are a hybrid of Eisenia foetida earth worms species. They serve as organic waste processing “machine. One ton of earthworms per day can process one ton of waste, turning it into fruitful bio humus, which in turn is a bio-dynamic agricultural product that can be used as a fertilizer.
